A criminal defence does not require your lawyer to keep an office in the city where the case is heard: it requires studying the police report, mastering the procedure and being in court whenever the law demands physical presence. Our operating model is built on that premise, allowing us to take on defences before any court without giving up technical control of the case.

Centralised technical direction. Every defence strategy is directed from our office at Calle Velázquez 27 in Madrid. The same team that analyses the case drafts the defence briefs, prepares testimony and conducts the hearings, whichever judicial district the proceedings are held in. That unity of approach avoids the dysfunctions that arise when a case passes through several hands.

Video calls and secure communications. As stated in our FAQ, attending our office in person is not strictly necessary: interviews, document review and strategic decisions can be handled entirely through video calls and secure communication channels, with the same confidentiality as an in-person meeting and no loss of depth in the study of the case.

Travel to the courthouse whenever the proceeding requires it. Statements during the investigation phase, pre-trial measure hearings and trials require the lawyer's physical presence. For those milestones the lawyer travels to the corresponding courthouse: what we centralise is the technical direction of the case, not courtroom attendance.

Working with local court agents (procuradores). In each judicial district we work with procuradores based in that territory, who handle formal representation before the court, the prompt receipt of notifications and the filing of briefs in line with each court's practice. Where the case calls for it, we also engage local experts and other collaborators on the ground.
